In the first of our new features we look at films deemed Must See Horror films. We have a poster of the 100 Must See Horror Films and will be working our way through it on our podcast. Each film is chosen at random by a throw of a Jason Voorhees dart (check it out on our TikTok). 
Our first throw gave us 2008 spanish horror REC, a POV found footage film about a news reporter stuck in quarantined tower block where people of turning into rage based zombies. We discuss spanish horror, found footage films and the impact of the films terrifying ending.

We discuss the legacy of the John Carpenter classic; it's mixed early reactions in an era of Spielberg family friendly sci-fi , status as a remake, the film's timeless special effects and the range of alternative ways the film could have gone with or without Carpenter.

We discuss the supernatural horror film that was a deemed a PG upon American release but we would not put it on our family friendly horror lists. We ponder whether there really is a  curse on poltergeist productions and if this film truly belongs to Tobe Hooper or producer Steven Spielberg.

In this week's episode we review a cult classic of The Cast Me to Hell boys childhood and no we don't mean Melvin Doo... We mean Scooby Doobie Doo! Celebrating it's 20th anniversary this year. 
We discuss the honestly all time children's and many adults classic from the writing mind of James Gunn with a cast so perfect that even when critics of the day dismissed it they couldn't dismiss one of the greatest performances of all time in Matthew Lillard's Shaggy.
